Houston we got a problem... Money to fly there:P
My Bro in law made me a proposal, to go along with him to Houston when he goes there to work on an assignment with HP. Tempting it is because, will get to drive around there with free lodging and meals. And yes NASA is there, not the launch pad, but mission control. One of the pinnacles of aviation and aeronautics.
I always wanted to drive through the big open roads which one can see in the concluding parts of the movie "Castaway" when Tom Hanks were driving through the country side to deliver the FedEx package to the lady artist. Yep me and a Jeep jus rumbling down the open road with the radio blasting. AJ jus did it recently by driving to the Mojave desert to sneak a view of the stealth fighters and bombers in Area 52. But he got stopped so didnt get to see anything. For me, I'll be heading to NASA!!! hahaha
Speaking of AJ, I think he got a little shakened the other day. Last friday at almost midnight, he called me to ask if I want to play StarCraft with him online. This is the first time I have ever heard him asked to play computer games. He said he had jus landed from Denpasar Bali, and his adrenalin is rushing so couldnt sleep. The weather was shitty and he had to do a no nonsense approach back to Singapore. Well I guess, his passengers will never know about the stormy weather or tricky approach. But here it is a guy who is usually ice cool, asking to play comp games in the middle of the night.
Yeah things can get scary up there cos of the massive size and power of the elements up there. This is one of the few things which people outside aviation will never understand. And for budding passengers, my advice is to remain blissfully ignorant. Dun find out too much...LOL.
Thats all for now.More later.
